  • How do I find Kestrel Lodge Campsite?
    * Please don't follow the postcode as it covers a large area. If you use Google Maps, searching 'Kestrel Lodge Campsite' will take you directly to us. * Alternatively, you can use the What3Words address ///unusually.unite.honeybees.   • Do you have WiFi?
    No, there is no WiFi available at Kestrel Lodge Campsite. However, the 4G signal is pretty good on the campsite, so you can still stay connected to the internet using your mobile data. Our guests sometimes prefer to take this opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and enjoy the natural surroundings and relaxed atmosphere of our campsite.
  • Can we have a campfire at Kestrel Lodge Campsite?
    Yes! We provide a fire pit free of charge at your pitch. We ask that you only use our fire pits and logs purchased from the campsite. Please do not bring your own fire pit, use your own wood, or forage for sticks on site. Thank you for understanding.
  • I've booked a van pitch can I have an awning?
    We don't recommend you bring an awning as the pitches are not suited to this. However there is a small space that you can use so you are very welcome to try set one up. We don't charge extra if you wanted to bring one, but please bare in mind levelling the van pitches means there is a little drop to the grass and the terrain is also sloped, after all we are on a hillside in Cumbria!
  • Do you accept roof tents/tent box's?
    Yes we do! But roof tents and tent boxes, must be booked on a hard standing campervan pitch. Unfortunately they are not permitted in the camping field
  • Do you accept trailer tents?
    Unfortunately, no, we don't accept trailer tents.
  • Can I arrive after 7pm?
    We understand you may have commitments, or a long way to travel, but our latest arrival is 7pm. If you can't get here for this time please book for the following day, or if contact us to let us know we can reserve your pitch for you to arrive in the morning instead.
  • Can I get a refund if I cancel?
    To reserve your booking at Kestrel Lodge Campsite, we ask for a 25% non-refundable deposit. Full payment is required 2 weeks before your arrival. If you cancel your booking less than 2 weeks before your arrival, unfortunately, you will not be able to get a refund. We have a detailed terms and conditions page on our website that provides more information about our cancellation policy. We recommend reviewing this before making a booking to ensure you are aware of the specific terms and conditions.
  • We will have two tents, do I have to book two pitches?
    Yes, please! As we have a license that restricts the number of tents, we need to ensure only the allowed number of tents are booked. You can do this all in one booking. Simply select one tent pitch and add the number of people. At the end of the booking, it will ask if you want to make another booking. Say Yes, then select the dates and number of people for your second tent. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
